You asked, we built it
TournamentBracketMaker.com is free and still being built, and what it does next comes from the people running tournaments on it. This is everything that has changed because somebody told us, newest first.
5 of the changes below came from a suggestion or a report. The rest are faults our own alerts caught, listed here because they are fixed and somebody may have hit them.

Nothing that anybody has asked for is waiting. If there is something you need, now is a good time to say so.

A countdown clock, periods, and scoring buttons for your sport
Live 17 October 2026
An organiser suggested it, and it went live the same day
What they asked for: The person using the new scoreboard wanted to set the clock to a quarter, half or game length, and score basketball in ones, twos and threes and American football in ones, twos, threes and sixes.
What it does now: Under "Clock and scoring" the clock counts up or down from a length you set, stops at zero with a beep, and "Next period" moves to the next quarter or half. The scoring buttons can be +1, basketball (+1, +2, +3) or American football (+1, +2, +3, +6), and the choice is remembered for your next match.
A scoreboard for each match, with a clock and seeds
Live 17 October 2026
An organiser suggested it, 1 day before it went live
What they asked for: Somebody wanted a scoreboard with a clock, the team names above the home and guest scores, and the seeds shown on the scoreboard and the bracket.
What it does now: Every match card has a Scoreboard button: full screen, big scores with plus and minus, a match clock, and each team's seed beside its name. Finish saves the score. Seeds now also show on the bracket.
A single group can feed a knockout
Live 16 October 2026
Our error alerts caught it
What it does now: A group stage with only one group, with the top two going through, used to fail when the knockout was drawn. It now draws a final between the winner and the runner-up.
The bracket stays in view while you score
Live 15 October 2026
An organiser suggested it, 1 day before it went live
What they asked for: An organiser wanted to see the whole bracket while entering results, not just the next matches.
What it does now: On a laptop or a tablet held sideways, the bracket now sits beside the scoring cards and updates as each result goes in.
Translated pages no longer stop working
Live 15 October 2026
Our error alerts caught it
What it does now: A browser translating the page could make it stop responding partway through an event. The page now reloads itself and carries on, with nothing lost.
Swiss tournaments go past round one
Live 1 October 2026
An organiser suggested it, and it went live the same day
What they asked for: An organiser finished round one of a Swiss and could not find how to start round two.
What it does now: When a Swiss round is finished, a "Pair round 2" button appears where the matches were. Each round is paired from the standings at that moment.
Rename teams after you have started
Live 30 September 2026
An organiser suggested it, and it went live the same day
What they asked for: An organiser went live with the default Team 1 to Team 9 and wanted to put real names in.
What it does now: There is a names panel next to the draw. Renaming changes the labels only, so every result already recorded stays exactly where it was.
Suggestions are paraphrased, never quoted, so nothing anybody wrote to us is published. Updated 16 October 2026.
