How many rounds in a round robin?
For an even number of teams, rounds = N-1. A 6-team round robin takes 5 rounds. For odd teams, rounds = N (one team sits out each round). A 5-team round robin takes 5 rounds. This generator uses the circle method to produce the most balanced schedule.
What is snake seeding in round robin?
Snake seeding assigns schedule slots in a serpentine pattern to balance travel and rest time. For example, in a 4-team round robin seeded 1-4: Round 1 is 1v4 and 2v3; Round 2 is 1v3 and 2v4; Round 3 is 1v2 and 3v4. This balances who faces strong opponents early vs. late.
