It costs nothing
There is nothing to pay and no account is needed to build a bracket or run an event. Use it for whatever you like, including your club, your work, and events you charge people to enter. We are not going to ask for a cut.
Who can see your tournament
Anyone with the link. That is what the link is for, and there is no password on it. Entrant names travel with it, so do not put anything in one that you would not want a stranger to read.
A bracket you have not made live never leaves your browser at all. Making it live is the moment it goes on our server, and it is always your choice.
If it breaks
It is provided as it is. We make no promise that it will be available, that it will work without fault, or that it will keep working the way it does today. We may change it, limit it, or stop it at any time.
Do not rely on it as your only record of something that matters. A bracket can be printed, saved as a PDF or an image, and shared as a link that carries the whole thing without a server being involved. If the result has consequences, keep your own copy.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using this service, including a tournament that cannot be reached, results that are lost, an event that is disrupted, or anything following from those.
What you may run on it
Rank whatever you like. Bands, films, footballers, crisps and public figures are what most brackets on the internet are, and none of that is a problem here.
The line is harm, not taste. Do not use this for:
- Anything built to harass, threaten or humiliate a private individual. A public figure being ranked is an opinion. A named colleague, classmate or ex is not.
- Anything unlawful, or anything infringing somebody else's rights.
- Pretending to be us, or that a tournament is run or endorsed by somebody it is not.
- Trying to break the service: overwhelming it, working around its limits, or reaching for data that is not yours.
We may remove a tournament that breaks these rules.
Your tournament is yours
What you type stays yours. We do not claim ownership of it and we store it in order to run the service. What happens to personal data, including email addresses, is in the privacy policy.
The legal bit
TournamentBracketMaker.com and the live app at live.tournamentbracketmaker.com are operated by Digital Signet Limited, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Using either means these terms apply, and we may change them, with the date above moving when we do. Governed by the law of England and Wales.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer your statutory rights are unaffected.
